What We Believe
Whether you have walked with Him for years, are returning after time away, or are opening the Bible for the first time, you are welcome here. Praise Church AZ exists to help you know Jesus Christ through His Word.
There is one true God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Each is fully God, yet God is one. He created heaven and earth, rules over all, and alone is worthy of worship.

God has not left us to decide truth for ourselves. He has given us His Word.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is true and trustworthy. The Bible is the final authority for everything we believe, teach, and practice. At Praise Church AZ, we read and teach from the King James Version.

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and the Word made flesh. He was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of a virgin, and is fully God and fully man. He lived without sin and revealed the Father perfectly.
He is not merely a teacher, prophet, or figure from history. Jesus Christ is Lord and worthy of all worship.

The Bible tells the truth about every one of us. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. Sin is rebellion against our Creator, separates us from Him, and leads to death and judgment.
No amount of effort, religion, or good works can make us righteous before a holy God. We cannot save ourselves. We need a Savior.

Jesus Christ willingly gave Himself on the cross for our sins. He bore our sins in His own body, shed His blood for our forgiveness, and died in our place. He was buried and rose bodily from the dead on the third day.
His resurrection is not a symbol. The grave is empty. Jesus Christ defeated death, is alive today, and reigns forever.

You do not have to clean yourself up before coming to Jesus. You cannot earn His mercy, and you do not have to purchase what He freely gives.
Salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Everyone who believes on Him is forgiven, made righteous before God, born again, and given eternal life. Good works do not save us; they are the fruit of lives that belong to Him.

The Holy Ghost is God. He convicts of sin, gives new life, dwells within believers, and seals those who belong to Jesus Christ. He teaches and comforts us, bears witness to Christ, and produces His fruit in lives yielded to Him.
We do not follow Jesus in our own strength. God is present and working in His people.

Everyone who belongs to Jesus Christ is part of His body. Christ is the head of His Church, and believers are called to continue in the apostles’ doctrine, fellowship, prayer, love, service, and faithful gathering together.
We walk with Jesus together. We encourage one another, pray for one another, carry one another’s burdens, and share the Good News with the world.

Jesus Christ will come in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. The dead will rise, every person will stand before God, and He will judge in perfect righteousness.
Every knee will bow before Jesus Christ. Every earthly kingdom will pass away, but His kingdom will have no end. He will make all things new, dwell with His people, and wipe away every tear. Death, sorrow, and pain will not remain.
This is our hope: everlasting life with our risen and reigning King.
